Philosophy: Encouraging Children to be Responsible for Themselves

It is the primary goal of the Little Bears Preschool to develop in each child a strong sense of self worth and uniqueness. We believe that a child's potential can be reached only if he/she has self-esteem, self-discipline and confidence in his ability to integrate into a group.

Kindergarten is a giant step in a child's life. We hope to ease the transition from being at home by providing a safe place to explore the process of socialization in a small group. We stress sharing, respecting the rights of others, completing what is begun, decision making and good manners. The school day at Little Bears is scheduled but flexible.

We strive to guide the child's unbounded energy in a constructive, informal and joyful way resulting in the beginning of a life philosophy of Personal Responsibility.
