Lessons: A Balance of Intellectual and Social Development

Little Bears Preschool incorporates diversity with traditional preschool activities. Singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and reading time are included each day as well as reinforcing good manners and sharing. Students learn about the weather, the calendar, and geography. Each child participates in show and tell once a week. Alphabet and writing skills are incorporated into the second half of the school year. Sign language is included into all lessons.

Patriotism, manners and safety awareness are all included in the LIttle Bears experience. Patriotism includes a visit to the Veteren's memorial, the Pledge of Alligence and field trips to locations such as the firestation. Safety awareness includes sessions on stranger danger, fire safety, body safety and the buddy system.

There is no TV watching at Little Bears. The time in preschool is devoted to social, academic and creative skills.

A nutritious snack will be provided by parents and served each day. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter parties are held each years. In addition, creative arts and crafts provide lasting momentos while teaching the children about the world around them.

Civilization is just a slow process of learning to be kind.
If the two of us were the same, one of us would be unnecessary.
